Other Commitments are a nine-piece band based in East Anglia that have been performing for over fifteen years around the UK and abroad.
Over the years, and an estimated 450 gigs under our belts, we have performed at weddings, birthdays, engagements, Cambridge May Balls, company events, Christmas functions, fund-raising charity events, and numerous armed forces events, and have supported acts such as Mike & The Mechanics, Freddie & The Dreamers and Teenage Fan Club, to name but a few.
Performances include songs from “The Commitments” film, “Grease”, Robbie Williams, Elvis Presley, Tina Turner, The Beatles, plus disco classics such as Car Wash, I Will Survive, and We Are Family. Additionally, wherever possible we will try to incorporate requests, such as first dances at weddings. Typical shows are based on two one-hour sets or possibly three sets of forty-five minutes, depending on the event.
Enquiries about charity events are welcomed.
All prices include a full professional PA system and lights, all transportation costs and set up costs. Backing music is provided between sets.
Other Commitments will work closely with you to make sure we set up in good time to avoid disturbing the event and breakdown the equipment with minimum disruption. It is crucial that good access to the venue for a van is available.
